Sunglint on the Alabama Waterway

.Within this June 26, 2023, photograph extracted from the International Spaceport station, sunshine polishes off the hassle-free waters of the Alabama Waterway in a phenomenon referred to as sunglint. When capturing The planet, astronauts frequently take advantage of sunglint's tendency to boost the contrast between water surfaces and also surrounding property surfaces.In the 1960s, the Alabama Waterway was clogged, developing Dannelly Reservoir (the large polishing location at center left). Construction of the dam also increased water table upriver. This caused flooding at numerous aspects along the stream. These disaster area are actually common of flood plains-- the poor, flat regions promptly alongside larger rivers.
